Warm up the Holidays!
The art event to warm the holidays is Independent Art Market. The 2007 Independent Art Market holiday sale is Friday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec. 9 downtown at the corner of 10th and Locust in LoftWorks' "Lofts at 315" building. The sale runs 6 p.m. - 12 a.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 - 6 p.m. on Sunday, with a reception on Friday night.
Independent Art Market a St. Louis based artists cooperative that creates events to showcase the works of top local and international independent artists, artisans and designers. The Independent Art Market winter sale is an annual event that combines all the warmth of a luxury boutique, all the sophistication of a premium gallery, and the comfort of a friend's home into a single fantastic weekend. This year marks the fourth annual Independent Art Market holiday sale, and the use of a fabulous new space for the event. The artists organizing this terrific event are excited about a spectacular weekend filled with a wonderful lineup of new and returning artists, artisans and designers selling work of the highest quality just in time for the holidays. Participating artists work in traditional and non-traditional media with an emphasis on quality. Each studio is self-represented. This December promises the biggest and best Independent Art Market holiday sale ever.

Record Numbers!
As of midnight Monday, October 1, Independent Art Market is no longer accepting applications for the 2007 winter show. There were a record number of applications this year, and we thank every one who expressed interest in being a part of this event. All artists will be notified no later than October 15, 2007. You're a talented artist looking to have a great holiday season. Now is the chance to show your work with us. The Independent Art Market is looking for like-minded artists who would like to join us for our upcoming show this December in an exciting new location.
The Independent Art Market was established to create a retail environment for artists creating high quality work to be sold to the public at large. Due to the retail nature of The Independent Art Market, customers are generally able to take home their newly purchased items at the point of sale. In order to make art accessible, artwork is usually priced between ten dollars and three hundred dollars.
The Independent Art Market is having its next show in December, and we are inviting area artists to join us. The show will take place over three days on December 7th, 8th and 9th at an exciting new venue (details TBA) from 6-12 on Friday, 12-10 on Saturday and from 12-6 on Sunday. All chosen artists are encouraged to be present for the entire show to meet potential customers and help sell their own work, but are not required to be present.
